Privacy
How we handle personal information.
This notice is for the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. It is written in plain language. Last updated 6 November 2026.
Who we are
Brokerwright is a sole trader in the United Kingdom. For privacy questions, write to isa@brokerwright.com. Brokerwright is the controller of personal information you send to us.
This website
This website describes the brokerage. It does not have accounts, a shop, or a newsletter. It does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Information you send us
If you email isa@brokerwright.com, we receive the address you write from and whatever you put in the message. That is typically your name, your organisation, and the details of the enquiry.
The contact form on this site does not send information to a server we operate. When you submit it, your own email application opens with the note filled in. The note reaches us only if you send that email. We do not see a draft you do not send.
Information collected automatically
We do not set analytics cookies, and we do not use a tracking pixel. The company that hosts the website may keep short technical logs, such as an IP address, the browser type, and the page requested, so the site can be delivered and protected from misuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you. We do not sell personal information.
Why we use it
We use enquiry emails to reply, to decide whether we can help, and, if we work together, to carry out that work. The lawful bases under the UK GDPR are:
- Article 6(1)(b), where you ask us to do something before a contract, or to perform a contract.
- Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests, for other enquiries and for an ordinary record of a conversation: responding to people who write to us, and keeping a clear note of what was asked and agreed. You can object to that use.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing. Writing to us does not add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to respond. If we do not work together, we aim to delete the correspondence within 12 months, unless we need it for longer to record a refusal, to handle a dispute, or because the law requires it. If we do work together, we keep the record of that work for as long as the work, any follow-up on it, and UK tax and legal duties require.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- with a creator, brand or supplier, when you have asked us to make an introduction or the work requires it
- with the provider of our email inbox, so we can send and receive messages
- with the company that hosts this website, to the limited extent of technical logs
- if the law requires us to, or to establish or defend a legal claim
Where it is processed
We are in the United Kingdom. Email and hosting providers may process messages or logs outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s transfer arrangements under UK GDPR, such as an adequacy regulation or the standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to:
- be told what information we hold, and receive a copy
- have inaccurate information corrected
- have information erased, where the law provides for that
- restrict how we use it, where the law provides for that
- object to use based on legitimate interests
- receive information you provided, in a portable form, where the basis is contract and the processing is automated
We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone. To use a right, email isa@brokerwright.com. We may need to confirm it is you. We will respond within one month, or tell you if we need longer.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for personal information, at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab). We would welcome the chance to put a problem right first.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site can store on your device. This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and the brokerage is not a service for children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. The version published here is the current one.
